I am a singer, pianist and pedagogue from Barcelona (born 1982), formed in the fields of early music education and creative and therapeutic voice. I obtained the title of Professor of Piano by Isaac Albéniz Conservatory of Girona and a BSc in Audiovisual Communication at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB). I also finished the Degree in music pedagogy at ESMUC (Superior School of Music of Catalonia), with jazz singing as main instrument.
In recent years my interest in the early stages of music education lead me to E. Gordon’s Music Learning Theory introduced by the portuguese pedagogue Paulo Lameiro. I have specialized with professionals like Beth Bolton (USA), Paola Anselmi (Italy) or Soili Perkiö and Elisa Seppänen (Orff, Finland) and I got the certification of Gordon Institute (GIML) in Early Childhood Music at the University of Buffalo (USA). I’m certified as a Prenatal Singing Facilitator and Community Drum Circles Facilitator, and I also have an Orff approach training.
As a teacher trainer, I have taught workshops and conferences about early childhood music education around Catalonia (UAB, AEMCAT and Rosa Sensat summer schools…) and Latin america (Colombia, Perú, Brasil…), and I have made assessments and consulting in different nursery schools and primary schools.
I teach in public music schools EMM Mataró, where I coordinate Family Music programs for stage 0-3 years, and I have participated in projects of community music (Tralalà, Comusitària, Red de Artes Visuales de Medellín…) and music and inclusion (Música a l’Abast). During the scholar year 2016-2017 I did a sabbatical in Medellín (Colombia) discovering its rich musical culture and collaborating in social and musical educational projects.
